Wonderful staff, lovely restaurant. Very clean, simple decor. We had the jerk chicken and gyoza to start and they were incredibly delicious, perfectly cooked - just the right amount of crunch:chew ratio. Never have I had chicken so perfect. The vegetable curry ramen wasn’t our (me, boyfriend) fave, but that’s a personal thing. The noodles were perfectly cooked and it was beautifully presented, and everything came in a very timely manner. Great overall experience.
I would say it’s the best ramen nearby, good service with nice food, All soup I am done, wonderful restaurant! I will take my family to here again!
We been here few times and food has always been excellent. I love their Brussel sprout appetizer. For ramen miso is my favorite but chasiu is great too. Service has been attentive and no complaints there. Ps they only take card.
Finally I was able to try this place. The cha-shu tamago ramen in spicy broth was delicious. I prefer mine with a lil bit more kick,so make sure to ask for the spicy stuff on the side (very delicious). Also the chicken kaarage was good. Very nice breading and was flavourful and not greasy tasting. For the beer, I like my dark beers so it was perfect that they had the coedo brewery shikkoki black lager to wash everything down. I was sooo full, but wanted to try their curry, so I opted for the mini pork curry to go My server Joy was amazing, she's super lovely. Hats off to the chef for the delicious food Will definitely be coming back here and will bring the spouse and lil one for sure. Ps: make sure to get the side of fried garlic.
We were in the area to pick up something and figured to try out the Surrey location for Maruhachi. First thing we noticed was the curry options! Other restaurant locations did not have curry or tempura/chicken katsu so that was a dish we went straight to ordering. I defaulted to the usual tamago ramen and it was comforting. Towards the end, our curry did start to taste a little salty though but overall a very good dinner.
One of the best ramen spots in Surrey for sure! Their ramen is very flavourful and super comforting. Most of their dishes are super simple, allowing the broth to stand out. Our usual go-to is their Chashu Tamago Ramen. It's got enough slices of pork to fill you up for sure, and the egg is always perfectly jammy! Value wise it is pretty good, and definitely more affordable compared to some other ramen chains in Surrey and the Lower Mainland. Great place to swing by when you're craving a hearty and comforting meal!
Does Surrey really need another Ramen restaurant? Absolutely! And Maruhachi definitely stepped up! What flavour Their broth is to die for! Piping hot deliciousness full of veggies, noodles and Chashu. Their atmosphere is bright modern and welcoming and their staff is always happy to see you. Great price too! My new go to Ramen spot
Very good. I’m really pleased so say that yes Maruhachi is convenient but it’s also excellent. A couple other reviewers mentioned the food not being super seasoned, and I would agree but in a good way. Ramen done well doesn’t need to be masked by tons of garlic and seasoning, and here you can really notice and appreciate the clean and simple ingredients paired with a rich and flavourful broth. The service is quick, cheerful, and helpful and we never waited long for anything. I’ll be back many times.
